YMCA: Offering Up February Vacation Fun

MANCHESTER, NH – Children throughout New Hampshire can enjoy a variety of exciting winter vacation camps in late February, thanks to The Granite YMCA.

“YMCA School Vacation Camps are designed to give families peace of mind when schools are not in session,” said John Harris, President and CEO of The Granite YMCA. “Each camp offers kids creative, engaging and fun choices – all designed to help them learn, grow and thrive.”

Vacation camp, led by YMCA School Age Child Care professionals, is for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, depending on the camp. The staff at The Granite YMCA have experience working with children and are trained in CPR, First Aid and additional child safety courses.

All vacation camps at The Granite YMCA will be held Monday, February 26 through Friday, March 2. Pre-registration is required.

• YMCA of Greater Londonderry will be offering a week of traditional camp with daily activities based on a theme for the day like Moana Movie Day, Camp Day, and Animal Adventures! February Trip camp includes travel to Funspot, Concord Sports Center and Leo’s Super Bowl. At Art & Cooking Camp, kids will learn cooking techniques and create nutritious recipes. • YMCA of Downtown Manchester will be offering a week of traditional camp with daily activities based on a theme for the day like Blast Off into Space, Exploring the Arts, and Become a Superhero. At Sport-A-Day camp children will participate in a different sport each day like floor hockey, basketball, and soccer. • YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown will be offering traditional camp, which includes a different theme each day, like Olympics at the Y, Space Explorers, and Animal Adventures. February Trip Camp includes travel to Funspot, Concord Sports Center, and Leo’s Super Bowl. Kids can take part in Art & Cooking Camp making arts and crafts projects and cooking up some delicious creations. • YMCA of Strafford County (Rochester) will be offering vacation camp at the YMCA and at Horne Street School in Dover. Children will travel to the Wagon Hill Farm or the Dover Bowl; spend the day at Camp Coney Pine. Kids will have the chance to have fun in the gaga pit, bounce house and more.
