Winter Weather Advisory in effect Sunday, with a wintry mix, some snow accumulation on tap

MANCHESTER, NH – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Feb. 25 between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m., with a mix of precipitation – and some snow accumulation – in store.

According to the National Weather Service, a warm front will move through the region and bring a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain to the southern portion of the state, with snow accumulation through the foothills and lakes region. Expect precipitation to start off as snow in the morning before transitioning to sleet and freezing rain from south to north. The storm will come to an end on Sunday evening, but you can plan on slippery road conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected, with limited visibility, and light icy glaze on roadways.

Monday temperatures are expected to reach about 50, so residual freezing shouldn’t be a problem.
