‘View from the Shore’ free concert featuring original works of Manchester native James Tebbetts
James Tebbetts will perform original work, “View from the Shore,” during the Sept. 19 concert at Manchester Community Music School.

MANCHESTER, NH – Inspiration can take many forms. For Manchester Community Music School (MCMS) adult student James Tebbetts it was his “View from the Shore.” A Manchester native, Tebbetts has spent a lifetime loving music, and the last 13 years perfecting his talent as a musician and composer. MCMS is pleased and proud to present Tebbetts’ fourth concert, “View from the Shore,” featuring his original compositions performed by professional musicians including some MCMS faculty members.
Tebbetts composes chamber works for winds, strings, voice and piano. He earned a master’s degree in both German and computer science from the University of New Hampshire and Rivier University, and has been an adult student at MCMS since May 2005. At the end of 2012, he retired from a career in software engineering, freeing up his time to follow a musical passion. Concurrent with his studies at MCMS, Tebbetts took instruction at Saint Anselm College and through his own reading. His instructors have included Drs. Lisa Cleveland, Mark Latham, and Justin McCarthy. He has been musically trained on flute and piano.
The concert will take place on Sept. 19, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 106 Lowell St., Manchester, NH.
