Two homeless people arrested on drug charges

MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Tuesday, the Manchester Police Department Special Enforcement Division/Street Crime Unit arrested two separate homeless individuals on drug-related crimes.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. in Victory Park, police saw a man fidgeting and twitching and saw him “snorting” something out of a bag that was later found to be a mixture of heroin and fentanyl. That man, 47-year-old Anthony Demiles, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled drug.

Less than two hours later at Veterans Park, police found a woman in a car who appeared to be preparing drugs for consumption. She agreed to step out of her car and police discovered a small bag believed to be a mixture of heroin and fentanyl on her person. The woman, 34-year-old Jillene Pelkley, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled drug.

Both are scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court – North on Sept. 26, 2019

Anyone charged with a crime is innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
