Storm Watch: Wind Advisory in effect until midnight
Stormy weather will be with us Friday, as a powerful coastal storm which developed off the southern coast of New England will bring rain, wind and snow.

MANCHESTER, NH – Stormy weather will be with us Friday, as a powerful coastal storm which developed off the southern coast of New England will bring rain, wind and snow.
According to the National Weather Service, as warmer maritime air pushes inland this may allow stronger wind gusts to mix down into the northern regions. Strongest wind effects will be felt on the NH seacoast and coastal York County Maine, with gusts expected up to 60 mph. Along the coast of western Maine from Portland northward as well as the rest of the coastal plain and interior southeastern New Hampshire, stronger wind gusts are likely. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph can be expected.
A wind advisory remains in effect from 9 a.m. on March 2 to midnight.
Winds: North 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Timing: Winds are expected to increase Friday morning, with the strongest winds likely by afternoon and evening.
Impacts: Strong wind gusts may lead to downed limbs, resulting in power outages.
