Boys tennis
Head coach:
- Peter Telge (3rd season)
Last season:
“Unfortunately, Memorial was not able to field a boys tennis team last year with little interest in the sport. While we did not participate in the NHIAA, I was able to introduce the sport to interested athletes with the hope they would want to play this year. The previous year (2023), the Memorial boys tennis team made playoffs-the first time in many years for such.” – Head coach Peter Telge
Top returning athletes:
“Zachary Telge is the only returning player. He has played since freshman year, is currently a senior, and is our captain. Zach will play in the No. 1 spot. He is a three sport athlete and he will provide the leadership for our young inexperienced team. “ – Head coach Peter Telge

“Kayden Hinse, picking up the sport for the first time, is the promising newcomer. His athletic ability make him a natural on the court. He will play in the No. 2 spot.” – Head coach Peter Telge
Biggest challenge:
“Biggest challenge is the fact that all the players, except one, are just learning the sport. Playing at the Division-I level, against athletes who have devoted years of training at the sport, will make for tough matches. My goal is to make this an enjoyable experience so that these young players continue to play tennis both in high school and in their future. “ – Head coach Peter Telge
Expectations:
“It will be a tough season, but my goal is to make each player better each week. We will track points won, then games won as we work through the season and I hope each player sees their potential and enjoys the season..” – Head coach Peter Telge
