Here comes winter, according to the National Weather Service — just a token storm to make us feel like we’re really in New Hampshire. Expect between 3 and 6 inches if you’re in or around Manchester, depending on your geography.

MANCHESTER, NH — Here comes winter, according to the National Weather Service — just a token storm to make us feel like we’re really in New Hampshire. Expect between 3 and 6 inches if you’re in or around Manchester, depending on your geography.

Below is the day-by-day outlook. If you haven’t already done so, now is a good time to get your snow shovels out of storage and find your boots, wherever you left them last spring, in the back of the closet.

Oh, and bread and milk. You know the drill.


Monday overnight into Tuesday: 100 percent chance of precipitation 3-5 inches. Cloudy with periods of snow after midnight, with some sleet mixed in. Low 23 F. Winds east/northeast at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 100 percent, 3 to 5 inches of snow expected by morning.

Tuesday 100  percent precipitation  1-3 inches

A mix of winter precipitation in the morning will give way to a mixture of rain and freezing rain in the afternoon. High 32 F. Winds east/northeast at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 100 percent. Snow and ice accumulating 1 to 3 inches.
