Body of man reported missing while out riding ATV pulled from Piscataquog River in Goffstown
NH Fish and Game conservation officers have recovered the body of a man who fell through the ice on the Piscataquog River while on his ATV.
Fish and Game Lt. Adam Cheney said a search team spent time looking on trails and were out searching most of the night without any luck. At about 3 a.m. they located a hole in the ice on the river with a helmet on the ice. At that point, a member of Goffstown Fire Department spotted what looked like a rim to an ATV below the service. A dive team went into the river and recovered the body Friday morning.Cheney reminded the public that with fluctuating temperatures of late, frozen surfaces are no longer safe for recreation.
