Richard Sardinha, 61: U.S. Marine, beloved father and grandfather

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Friday May 10, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow from 1 to 1:30 p.m., both at Phaneuf Funeral Home 243 Hanover St Manchester.

Richard Sardinha, 61: U.S. Marine, beloved father and grandfather

MANCHESTER, NH — Richard “Rit” Edward Sardinha, 61 of Manchester, NH passed away on May 5, 2019.

Richard was born on July 31, 1957 in Fall River, MA to the late George and Helene (Turner) Sardinha. He was the second of six children. He was a graduate of Bristol High School before serving in the United States Marine Corp.

Richard was an avid reader, lover of baseball, music, and movies. He loved going to music festivals with his friends, specifically Moe Down with his best friend Dave Mayo and his family. He was always filled with energy and his presence filled a room. He often reminisced of his days in the motorcycle clubs SPS and HMMC. His most precious moments were spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his five children, Stina Sardinha-Wulfe and her husband James Moller-Wulfe of Elliot, ME; Sarah Sardinha of Norfolk, VA; Nikki Sardinha and her fiance Mike Lyford of Barrington, NH; Lissa Sardinha and her partner Petros Lazos of Rochester, NH; and Sean Sardinha of Rochester, NH; his grandchildren Rowan Wulfe, Caty Sardinha, Ollie Sardinha, Maddie Sardinha, Gabriel Sardinha, and Cameron Sardinha; his former wife Katie Kelly of Rochester, NH; siblings George Sardinha, Jim Sardinha, Bob Sardinha, Karen Flowers, and Kathy Segui; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, George and Helene (Turner) Sardinha formerly of Bristol, RI and his beloved dogs, Jaz-Bo and Bo-Ski.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Friday May 10, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow from 1 to 1:30 p.m., both at Phaneuf Funeral Home 243 Hanover St Manchester, and a Veteran Burial to follow at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Hwy. Boscawen.
