Quick arrest in Bank of NH robbery
Police arrested a man on a bike within minutes of the robbery Tuesday at the Bank of New Hampshire on Hooksett Road.
MANCHESTER, NH – A suspected bank robber was arrested within minutes of a robbery at the Bank of New Hampshire, thanks to quick police work.
Ronald Cook, 44, of Manchester, was arrested shortly after police were called to the Bank of New Hampshire, 705 Hooksett Road, for a reported robbery at 10:20 a.m on Nov. 10.
The description of the robber provided by the teller was broadcast over the police radio and within five minutes, Officer Keith Chandonnet stopped Cook in the area of Webster and Oak streets, who matched the description. He was arrested without further incident after the officer determined through questioning that he was connected to the robbery.
According to police Cook allegedly entered the bank and handed the bank teller a note demanding cash. He did not display a weapon during the robbery. The clerk handed him an undisclosed amount of money before he walked out of the bank.
Cook was transported to police headquarters and is awaiting the bail commissioner.
