Is NH prepared for a public health crisis?

MANCHESTER, NH – There has been one fatal case of Ebola in the U.S. but lots of press over whether we know how to contain the virus. The primary question that emerges is whether states are ready to manage a serious public health threat like Ebola. The CDC attempts to answer that question.

A report by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has released results of its state-by-state evaluation in an attempt to answer that question while helping communities see where they need to do more.

The CDC has been reviewing state plans and checking response times since 2002.  New Hampshire scored a 7.1 which is just below the national average in the context of  the high score of 8.1 and low of 5.9.
