MANCHESTER, N.H. – Police are reporting that the shots fired in the Green Street area last night was connected to an altercation between two groups known to police.

In a statement released Tuesday morning by police, the groups began firing at each other in the area of the basketball courts at Sheridan-Emmett Park and the sidewalk near the area of 255 Green St.

No one was injured, but a building and a car were damaged.

Police are continuing the investigation into the matter, but witnesses are not yet fully cooperating at this point, police said.

The Manchester Police Department is asking anyone with information on this incident to call 603-668-8711 or make an anonymous tip via the ManchesterCrimeLine.
