A pedestrian was struck, injured, crossing Auburn Street

MANCHESTER, NH — A Manchester woman was injured after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing Auburn Street.

Dorothy Katromanos, 55, was attempting to cross the road, walking against the crosswalk to get across. She was struck by Robert O’Rourke of Manchester, who was driving north on Union Street. He told police he did not see Katromanos in the road, and that he was traveling less than 20 mph at the time of the accident.

After interviewing other witnesses who corroborated O’Rourke’s story, police determined that Katromanos was at fault. She was transported to Elliot Hospital for non life-threatening injuries, police said.
