Oct. 27 book-signing : Author Alison Downs explores devastation of Alzheimer’s with ‘Ladybird Adrift’
‘Ladybird Adrift,’ a novel by Manchester author Alison Downs, has been praised by readers for its emotionally raw candor depicting how Alzheimer’s affects patient and family alike.
MANCHESTER, NH — Local author Alison Downs penned her debut Ladybird Adrift to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s and the effects it can have on the entire family. Downs’ publisher seems to agree, as their website states, “An Alzheimer’s diagnosis does not just change the patient’s life, it changes family dynamics… Everyone is affected.”
Downs will appear at The Bookery, 844 Elm St., on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. to again raise awareness about Alzheimer’s, and autographs copies of her novel.
