Mayor begins Office Hours series with Public Works Department
The staff paid close attention, discussing issues and solutions with residents, and taking notes for follow up. Office hours continue Oct. 23 at the Manchester City Library.

MANCHESTER, NH — Mayor Joyce Craig held the first of her latest round of public “Office Hours” at the Public Works department on Valley Street October 15. The department’s staff was on hand to listen to eight city residents who complained of issues such as trash in alleys, speeding on one-way streets, slow intersections, a lack of bicycle parking spots, and snow-clearing problems. The staff paid close attention, discussing issues and solutions with residents, and taking notes for follow up. Mayor Craig showed residents how to report complaints using:
- Click Fix on the web and via an app
- Manchester Connect on the web and via an app
At the end of the meeting one resident said, “I really appreciate it. Thank you for doing this.” A young, married couple said, “When we relocated, we chose Manchester from other places because it’s a sundown town with lots to do.”
