Manchester, N.H. – Maura Sullivan, a Democratic candidate for the New Hampshire 1st Congressional District, has announced that her campaign has raised over $400,000 in just the first week following her campaign launch.

“I am deeply grateful by the outpouring of support our campaign has received in our first week,” said Sullivan. “This incredible show of trust from so many people across New Hampshire and beyond isn’t just about funding—it’s about the shared belief that we need a new generation of leadership in Washington committed to delivering real results for Granite State families. As a Marine, I learned that mission comes first, and the mission of this campaign is to bring service-oriented leadership to Congress that puts people over politics and delivers for New Hampshire. Every dollar contributed represents someone joining our fight for an economy that works for everyone, for affordable healthcare, and for the future of our democracy. I don’t take this trust lightly, and I promise to work tirelessly to earn it every single day.”

Former State Senator Martha Fuller Clark of Portsmouth, a longtime Democratic leader in New Hampshire, praised Sullivan’s early fundraising success.

“Maura Sullivan’s remarkable fundraising success demonstrates what many of us in New Hampshire already know—she is an exceptionally formidable candidate who has earned deep respect across our communities,” said Fuller Clark. “As someone who has watched Maura’s consistent dedication to Granite State families over the years, I’m not surprised by this outpouring of support. Her visibility throughout the district reflects her genuine commitment to understanding and addressing the concerns of her neighbors. New Hampshire isn’t just where Maura lives; it’s her home and her priority. In today’s political climate, holding this critical seat will require significant resources, and Maura’s ability to build this kind of financial foundation speaks volumes about her viability and the enthusiasm behind her candidacy. I’m proud to support a leader who combines service-driven values with the practical ability to build a winning campaign.”

Sullivan, who previously served as an Assistant Secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs under President Obama and as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer and Iraq War Veteran, officially launched her congressional campaign on April 10, 2025. Her campaign is focused on economic opportunity, healthcare affordability, and restoring accountability to Washington.
