Manchester man, 2 others, injured in I-93 crash in Temple

TEMPLE, NH – A serious accident tied up traffic on 101 in Temple during Wednesday morning rush hour. Below is a narrative of what happened from NH State Police:

On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at approximately 6:50 a.m., a gray 2004 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck operated by Trevor King, 33, of Nelson, was traveling east on Route 101 in the town of Temple. Initial investigation revealed that King crossed the center line and collided with a 2011 Chevrolet Express van that was traveling in the opposite direction. The van was operated by Corey Floyd, 29, of Auburn.

Both Floyd and King were entrapped in their vehicles and had to be cut from the wreckage by responding fire and rescue personnel from the surrounding towns. Emergency personnel from Jaffrey, Wilton and Peterborough quickly responded to the scene to assist. King was transported by ambulance to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Floyd was air-lifted to the U-Mass Medical Center by Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team helicopter.  A passenger that was traveling in the front passenger seat of the Chevrolet Express van, Michael Young, 46, of Manchester, was transported to the Monadnock Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Wilton and Temple Police Departments all assisted Troopers with shutting down Route 101 and re-routing traffic for approximately two hours while the scene was processed.

Any information in regards to this incident, contact the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit; Trooper First Class Bryan Plamondon at the State Police Barracks Troop B in Bedford 603-672-3333.
