Cinco de Mayo happenings: The Hippo Taco Tour is a major event happening on Elm Street and in the Millyard from 4-9 p.m. and a great way to celebrate. All tacos are $2 each, and all the details you need are here.
Sun Shui in Bedford is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with sushi tacos and margarita specials. Billy’s Sports Bar is serving $5 house margaritas and $8.50 CoronaRitas and Puerto Vallarta will have $2 tacos and lots of drink specials.

Go play in the backyard. Shorty’s in Bedford, opens its new Backyard on May 5, Cinco de Mayo. Here you’ll find a fire pit, corn hole, foos ball, ping pong and jenga. Plus, the full menu is available in the Backyard, so you can enjoy new menu items like Tropical Cancun tenders ($9.99), sirloin steak tip salad ($13.99), and blackened salmon tostadas ($15.99) under the stars.

Everything is better outside. Spend your nights on The Patio at Bedford Village Inn. Beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursdays there is there’s live music. And, on Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday, dine on oysters for a $1 each. On the weekend, dinner is served until 9 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 p.m. on Saturdays. The Patio menu includes lobster rangoons ($14), Monte Cristo sliders ($10), and jumbalaya ($18), plus a selection of burgers and pizza.
