If the James Beard awards are your Academy Awards: There will be a cook book signing at Angela’s Pasta & Cheese March 31 at 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. with 2011 James Beard award winner Michael Solomonov of Zahav in Philadelphia. Zahav specializes in modern Israeli cuisine and the cook book, Zahav: A World of Israeli Cooking, came out last fall.
DEAL ALERT: Thursdays, all day, 35 cent wings at The Farm. Here wings are served hot atomic, buffalo, sweet chili, honey mustard, BBQ, Cajun, Ah-so and plain and crispy.

Welcome back! Manchester’s popular dim sum restaurant, North Garden Restaurant & Lounge, suffered a fire in late February, forcing it to temporarily shut down for repairs. Fortunately they were able to re-open on March 10.
Back to the Future: Milly’s Tavern is now Stark Brewing Company, again. In 1994 Stark Mill Brewery was the first brewery in the city and Peter Telge was the brewmaster. In 1999, Telge changed the name to Milly’s Tavern. Today, the brewery has returned to its , this time with a slick new website, solid pub menu and all the beers the city knows and loves. The menu here includes their famous Brew House Chili, voted No. 1 for “Best of NH,” John Stark Porter steamed hot dogs (add the chili!) and an Oatmeal Stout beef stew.
Get some. The 3rd annual Burgerfest at Bedford Village Inn is April 3-10. There is a menu of burgers, plus each day the Tavern and Corks will features a different specialty burger. All the details are here.
Party like it’s 1999. On April 2, Strange Brew celebrates their 17th anniversary with a bash featuring David Rousseau, and Lisa Marie and All Shook Up. There will be prizes and specials all night.
