MANCHESTER, NH – Officer Kenneth Chamberlain was working a paid detail at the Elliot Hospital at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday when a man entered the Emergency Department suffering from non life-threatening stab wounds to his neck and face.

The 25-year-old victim told police he was stabbed inside a North End residence at about 4:30 a.m.  He was coherent when he arrived and spoke to Officer Chamberlain.

The case remains under investigation while detectives attempt to locate a person of interest. The suspect is known to the victim, so this does not appear to be a random act of violence, police said.
