Man charged with stealing Volvo from Gulf Express, possession of heroin
The car was stolen from the Gulf Express and found an hour later by police, leading to the arrest of Randy Katanga, 22, of Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NH – A city man was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly stealing a Volvo from a gas station convenience store, and possession of heroin.
Randy Katanga, 22, of Manchester, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled drug and violation of a parole warrant.
A Manchester Police officer on patrol was dispatched to the Gulf Express, 21 Main St., at about 2:40 a.m. on August 20 after a customer reported that her 1995 Volvo, which she had left unattended with the keys in the ignition, had been stolen.
At approximately 3:45 a.m. the Volvo was located on Pine and Central street being operated by Katanga.
Police found a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance in the vehicle which was tested and found to be heroin. Police also determined Katanga was wanted on a parole warrant.
He was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester Aug. 20.
