Man charged with bank robbery after clues found at cemetery
Evidence gathered at Valley Cemetery helped lead police to charge Danien Brousseau with Monday’s bank robbery.
MANCHESTER, NH — Police have charged Danien Brousseau, 39, of Manchester with the April 16, 2018 robbery of St. Mary’s Bank.
The following is a police synopsis of events leading to Brousseau’s arrest:
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday Manchester Police Officers responded to the St. Mary’s Bank located at 234 Elm St. for a robbery. At that time, responding officers learned that a man entered the bank and passed a note demanding money. While on scene, officers obtained a description of the robber, which was broadcast to police in the field and later provided to the public via a press release.
Officer Thomas Florenzo was monitoring the surrounding area following the robbery and located money bands, gloves, and a sweatshirt that had been discarded inside of the Valley Cemetery. A track of the area with police dogs was unsuccessful.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., Officer Thomas Florenzo observed a man matching the description of the bank robber in the area of Union Street/Lake Avenue. He made contact with the man, who was identified as Brousseau, and placed him under arrest on an unrelated warrant and transported him to the Manchester Police Department for processing.
Further investigation led to Brosseau being charged with the bank robbery.
