Man causing scene at TN Convenience charged with drug possession

MANCHESTER, NH – A man accused of causing a scene at a local convenience store was arrested April 6 on drug possession charges and outstanding warrants.

At 11:24 p.m. Officer Richard Valenti responded to TN Convenience, 90 Bridge St., for a report of a disorderly person. Officer Valenti arrived to find Tige Dyer, 42, of Manchester, “flailing his arms while kicking his legs in the air.” A concerned clerk called to report Dyer’s behavior as disorderly, so Officer Valenti spoke with Dyer.

During a background check, police dispatch advised Officer Valenti that Dyer was wanted for several warrants (two counts receiving stolen property, two counts theft by deception and forgery) so he was taken into custody. A routine search of Dyer prior to arrest reveled he was in possession of approximately 9 grams of heroin and .55 grams of crack cocaine.

Dyer was transported to police headquarters and placed on a 72-hour hold for probation/parole violation. He was charged with 2 counts possession of a controlled drug and was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on April 7, 2016.
