Ken Sheldon has put fictional town Frost Heaves on the map through the persona of quintessential Yankee, Fred Marple. Sheldon’s earlier first acts included stints as a cartoonist, hardware store clerk and an editor for Byte Magazine, the first publication about personal computers.
His singing and songwriting led to his biggest re-invention, the creation of Fred Marple and the book and musical “Welcome to Frost Heaves.” After a run of many years at the Peterborough Players Theater, the show will have its final performances April 8 and 9.
