Keechie is a pit bull in need of a caring home

This is Keechi, a 5-year-old 72-pound purebred pit bull terrier. He has a happy-go-lucky personality and is an intelligent pup who will sit when requested, give his paw as a sweet gesture and come when called.

Keechi loves to play, especially splashing around in the water on a warm summer day – that’s his idea of a party, according to the Manchester Animal Shelter, where Keechi is one of the favorite resident dogs.

This pooch has trimmed down by 20 pounds since being in the shelter’s care, and is hoping to find someone who will help him maintain his new weight – he’s more energetic and happy than ever.

Like all the pets in transition at the shelter, Keechie is searching for a permanent home. The ideal situation for Keechie would be with adult humans only. If given a proper introduction he may be happy with another pup in the house, but a cat family is out of the question for this guy.

He’s hoping to find that special person who will devote their time to providing him a healthy lifestyle and unconditional love. If you have room in your heart and some time to spare for a furry friend please don’t pass up Keechi.
