Joint board appointed following Families in Transition-New Horizons merger
Two of Manchester’s largest homeless services providers officially merged into one entity on January 1, 2018. Families in Transition-New Horizons has a 25-member Board of Directors, with staggered terms, which recently met for the first time at their bi-monthly meeting.
MANCHESTER, NH — Two of Manchester’s largest homeless services providers officially merged into one entity on January 1, 2018. Families in Transition-New Horizons has a 25-member Board of Directors, with staggered terms, which recently met for the first time at their bi-monthly meeting.

Families in Transition-New Horizons provides hunger relief, emergency shelter, safe affordable housing, and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or in need, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. They are headquartered in Manchester, NH, and have housing and programming there as well as Concord, Dover, and soon-to-be Wolfeboro, NH. They also own and operate OutFITters Thrift Stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, which serve as economic engines to help pay for their housing and services.
