Jan. 23: Screening – ‘Between Borders: American Migrant Crisis’ at Jupiter Hall
A series at Jupiter Hall hosted by Welcoming Manchester continues through Jan. 31.
MANCHESTER, NH — Jupiter Hall and Welcoming Manchester have joined forces again for a series of events that bring the community together for discussions around — and a celebration of — our human experience.

Thurs., Jan. 23 – The Journey, 6-8 p.m.
All are invited to join us for a screening of “Between Borders: American Migrant Crisis” – followed by post-panel discussion. The event is free, but kindly register via Eventbrite here.
In 2014, 90,000 unaccompanied minors made the treacherous journey from Central America to the United States. No longer are people simply fleeing poverty, now they are fleeing for their lives. Filmmakers Brent and Craig Renaud document the journey.The film lasts about 25 minutes and will be followed by a discussion with people who are working to bring changes and to help migrants who are resettling. The film is presented by Welcoming New Hampshire, Welcoming Manchester and the Kent Street Coalition.
This screening is part of events held during Uncaged Art: Tornillo Children’s Detention Camp, on display through January 31.

Artwork created by teens detained at the Tornillo, Texas, migrant youth detention camp will be on display through January 31, 2020. The exhibit, Uncaged Art, includes prints from a professional photographer and educational textboards from the original Uncaged Art exhibit at the Museo Urbano in El Paso, Texas.
