Hundreds pay respects to retired Goffstown police chief Michael French

Hundreds of mourners – including more than 100 law enforcement officers – lined up Wednesday outside of Connor-Healey Funeral Home to pay their respects to Michael T. French, retired Goffstown Police Chief.

MANCHESTER, NH – Hundreds of mourners – including more than 100 law enforcement officers – lined up Wednesday outside of Connor-Healey Funeral Home to pay their respects to Michael T. French, retired Goffstown Police Chief.

French

French, 68, died Dec. 24 after a brief illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Manchester and a 1973 Memorial High School graduate who served with Goffstown Police Department for 35 years, retiring as Chief of Police.

For more than 50 years French volunteered his time and talents with Camp Fatima Exceptional Citizens’ Week, serving as Resident Director for 20 of those years. He also contributed his time as a leader in many professional and community organizations.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2023, with a Catholic Mass to be celebrated at Saint Anselm Abbey, 100 St. Anselm Dr.
