MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to the Brady Sullivan building, 1000 Elm Street, Suite 605,  at 1:10 p.m. on Nov. 18 in an attempt to remove a man who had refused to leave the premises by locking himself in a closet located inside the sixth-floor U.S. Trustee Office.

Upon arrival, Officer Ryan White made contact with Nicholas Acevedo, 24,  no fixed address, while he was locked in a utility closet. Officer White continuously asked Acevedo to vacate the closet and unlock the door, so they could speak face to face.

Acevedo refused and kept stating he wanted help, but gave no specifics on the help he

needed. Members of the Manchester Fire Department arrived on scene and assisted Officer White while opening the door. They used several tools to pry the door open and as Officer White was able to enter the small closet, Acevedo allegedly slammed the door on the officer.
