CONCORD, NH – Granite Staters took to the streets in the thousands Saturday across New Hampshire as part of the “Hands Off” National Day of Action, a grassroots protest movement in response to the Trump administration’s advancing  agenda.

More than 1,000 events were organized for the day in all 50 states under the “Hands Off” banner. Organizers say the protest is a response to Presidents Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk’s actions undermining democracy and freedom.

In Nashua, over 1,000 people surrounded the park at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at the top of Library Hill to express their rejection of Trump’s policies and behaviors. In Concord, a crowd estimated at around 4,000 stood in the rain to listen to speakers and voice their protests.

Cold temperatures and rain, heavy at times, did not deter people from gathering outside the State House in Concord.

The “Hands Off” slogan is directed at the government’s downsizing of the economy, immigration changes, and human rights issues with a combination of Executive Orders from President Trump as well as actions directly associated with DOGE – the Department of Government Efficiency – which has been under the direction of Musk.

Concord’s Main Street was lined on both sides for a two-block span with people holding signs while many people in the traffic back up sounded their horns in support of the demonstration.

Volunteers with the rally organizers wore yellow vests and could be seen keeping participants out of the street and off the State House steps.

There was very limited law enforcement visible other than a few cruisers circling the streets.

At the time of this article there were no known arrests and the group appeared to peacefully hold signs and listen to speakers over the public address system.
