Former judge to plead guilty to falsifying statements in attempt to defraud retirement fund

CONCORD, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announced that a felony complaint and waiver of indictment was filed April 27 in the Merrimack County Superior Court charging former District Judge Paul S. Moore with one count of fraud for making a false statement(s) in an attempt to defraud the New Hampshire judicial retirement plan.

The crime occurred on January 15, 2018.

Paul S. Moore is scheduled to enter a plea of guilty and be sentenced on this charge on May 2, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. in the Merrimack County Superior Court. As this is a pending matter, the State will have no additional comments. The charges and allegations in the indictments are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
