Fire guts Notre Dame Avenue building
A fire destroyed a home on Notre Dame Avenue.

Description of Incident:
Companies responded to a reported building fire at 268 Notre Dame Ave. at 7:13 a.m. on Dec. 9. On arrival, Engine 6 & Truck 6 reported a working fire in a 2 ½ story residential wood-framed dwelling and established Incident Command.
Crews immediately stretched hand lines and entered the building with Car 1 assuming Incident Command. All units of the first alarm assignment arrived on the scene and performed search and rescue, ventilation, and extinguishment operations. Rescue 1 members searched the building and reported an “all clear” for occupants.
Crews extinguished the fire on the second floor and access was made to the half-story where the fire had extended into that compartment and the attic. Engine and Truck companies worked extensively to overhaul and extinguish all pockets of fire.
One resident was displaced on the first floor. The second and third floors were in the process of renovation and were unoccupied.
The incident was placed under control at 08:10 a.m.
Civilian Injuries: No reported injuries.
Emergency Service Injuries: No reported injuries
Special Circumstances: The 2nd and 3rd floors were under renovation
