MANCHESTER, NH – Mayor Jay Ruais will be holding a Ward 1 Town Hall on Thursday, February 15, at Webster Elementary School, 2519 Elm St., from 6-7 p.m.
Also invited: Ward 1 Aldermen Chris Morgan and Ward 1 School Board Member Julie Turner.
This is the first in what will be a series of ward-by-ward town hall meetings with the mayor and elected officials.
“It is essential for our community to be engaged in all aspects of our city, including City Hall. I am excited to begin these town halls, and look forward to listening to and hearing from Ward 1 residents about issues of concern to them, while providing an update on the first six weeks of our Administration.”
Turner encouraged residents to come out and to bring their questions.
“The upcoming town hall with Mayor Ruais will allow constituents to feel seen and heard in Ward 1 and provide an opportunity for more intimate discussions about the desires, concerns and visions for both our neighborhood and the city. This event will provide a comfortable environment at Webster Elementary during which Ward 1 residents can meet our new Mayor, ask questions and have their voices heard,” Turner said.
Alderman Morgan said he welcomes the opportunity to connect with constituents.
“I’m looking forward to having the Mayor join us to discuss what is important for our City and our Ward. It will be a great opportunity for Ward 1 residents to ask questions and create a dialogue on issues. I am excited to be there with School Board member Julie Turner and the Mayor.”
