Elliot Health System names Jean Ten Haken as Chief Operating Officer
Jean Ten Haken will play a crucial role in further shaping the delivery of healthcare in Manchester and the surrounding communities through strong physician and nursing relationships
MANCHESTER, NH – Doug Dean, Chief Executive Officer of Elliot Health System, announces the appointment of Jean Ten Haken, MSN, RN, CENP to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Elliot Health System, effective May 1, 2017.
Haken has served as the Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer for Elliot since 2015. She has been responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of patient care services, inpatient and ambulatory care nursing, and home health and community services.
She joined Elliot after serving in the role of Vice President of Acute Care Nursing at Concord Hospital for nearly seven years. Prior to that time, she spent 13 years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon as Director, Intermediate Cardiac Care and Cardiovascular Critical Care Units and Continuing Care Manager – Office of Care Management (3 years), and various care management roles.
As Chief Operating Officer, Haken will play a crucial role in further shaping the delivery of healthcare in Manchester and the surrounding communities through strong physician and nursing relationships and meaningful quality initiatives that have a positive impact on community health.

Haken holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She has formalized training in Lean Process Improvement Methodology and LifeWings.
