Driver faces negligent homicide charge after victim dies from injuries sustained in multi-car crash
A 19-year-old Manchester man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in the area of Maple and Silver Streets late last year.

MANCHESTER, NH – A 19-year-old Manchester man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in the area of Maple and Silver Streets late last year.

Najean Mars was charged with Negligent Homicide, Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Conduct.
These charges stem from an investigation into a November 22, 2024, traffic accident involving five vehicles. Melvin Pfeifer, 53, of Manchester, who was operating a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, suffered life threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to an area hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
A 50-year-old male passenger in Pfeifer’s vehiclesuffered minor injuries.
Mars’ bail was set at $5,000. This crash investigation is still active and ongoing.
