December 18 prayer vigil for immigrants at federal building

There will be an Interfaith Prayer vigil for immigrant justice December 18 at 9 a.m. outside the Norris Cotton Federal Building to support immigrants required to appear that day before Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This is the last vigil for the year.

MANCHESTER, NH – There will be an Interfaith Prayer vigil for immigrant justice December 18 at 9 a.m. outside the Norris Cotton Federal Building to support immigrants required to appear that day before Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This is the last vigil for the year.

The vigils occur on the first Tuesday of the month and on other dates when ICE requires immigrants to appear. They are organized by American Friends Service Committee, Granite State Organizing Project, NH Council of Churches, and United Valley Interfaith Project. Jubilee (Catholic Worker), and New Hampshire Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees.

Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox churches, Jewish synagogues, Muslim mosques, and others are involved in this grassroots ecumenism.
