Community steps up for Franklin Savings Bank Toys for Tots effort
Franklin Savings Bank customers and area residents once again came through for the area’s kids, donating 840 toys for the annual WMUR Toys for Tots drive.

FRANKLIN, NH – Franklin Savings Bank customers and area residents once again came through for the area’s kids, donating 840 toys for the annual WMUR Toys for Tots drive.
“It was heartwarming to see boxes of overflowing toys collected at all of our branches,” said Jenn Demers, marketing and community engagement officer. “Even after the toys were picked up from our offices, more and more community members continued to drop off donations. The generosity in our communities is truly inspiring.”
It was the second year in a row that the bank sponsored the drive. The state overall has several drives to gather toys for the U.S. Marines Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation.
All eight Franklin Savings Bank locations were drop-off centers for unwrapped children’s toys. The bank’s offices are in Bristol, Boscawen, Tilton, Gilford, Merrimack and Goffstown.
Besides the bank drop-offs, statewide Toys for Tots were accepted through the two-day WMUR drive, as well as drop-offs at Amherst Fire/Rescue; Bedford, Derry and Salem police departments; Concord VFW; Pelham Fire Department; and Rochester Salvation Army.
The state’s month-long drive kicked off Nov. 21 at the Mall of New Hampshire. The program began accepting applications for toys Oct. 1. The final collection day was Dec. 15.
The overall total of toys collected in New Hampshire isn’t yet available, but in 2022, the state’s Toys for Tots effort distributed 100,451 toys to 50,226 children, according to organizers.
