MANCHESTER, NH  – Manchester Police are on the scene at Central High School, which has been placed on “secure campus” status, after three students reported “being approached by a stranger.”

Secure campus means a “lock-out” situation is in place, and no one from the outside is allowed in.

A general alert was sent out via the school district’s automated service just after 9 a.m. No other information was immediately available, except that all students were “safe” and that police were investigating.

School officials were waiting to hear more from police, who initiated the secure campus status at about 8:40 a.m.

We’ll update you as soon as we have more information.
