Celebrate Christmas with Brookside Church

Brookside Congregational Church today announced it will host its 9th Annual Holiday Concert, a “Living Nativity” event at Stark Park, and multiple services on Christmas Eve.  The events are free and open to the public.  Everyone is welcome.

MANCHESTER, NH – Brookside Congregational Church today announced it will host its 9th Annual Holiday Concert, a “Living Nativity” event at Stark Park, and multiple services on Christmas Eve.  The events are free and open to the public.  Everyone is welcome.
The 9th Annual Holiday Concert
Hark! The Herald Angles Sing – a concert will be held on Sunday, December 2 at 2 p.m. at the church, located at 2013 Elm St. in the North End.  The concert will feature the organ, chancel, and bell choirs of Brookside Congregational Church conducted by the Minister of Music, Kimberly Vars Whitehead, and will include special guest – New Hampshire Brass.  Please consider bringing non-perishable goods to be donated to New Horizons of Manchester. The Carillon (steeple bells) will be played following the concert on the front steps of the church by Sexton, Heath Auger.

Living Nativity
The Living Nativity will take place on Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 p.m. in Stark Park.  Community Christmas caroling at the bandstand follows with the Friends of Stark Park at 3:30 p.m. A Living Nativity is the telling of the Christmas story with actors and real animals recreating the scene in Bethlehem those many years ago.  Ancient scriptures will be read and songs will be sung to bring the story to life. The animals participating are generously provided by Miles Smith Farm in Loudon, NH.

Christmas Eve Services
Brookside Church also welcomes everyone to attend its Christmas Eve Services on Dec. 24.  There will be a family service that includes the children’s pageant at 4:30 p.m. and a traditional candle-light service at 7 p.m.
