Car salesman allegedly dealing drugs from his Schiller Street business
Nery Cruz was charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, a felony, and possession of a controlled drug also a felony. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled in court on March 2.

Police learned that Cruz was allegedly selling illegal narcotics from his business. Upon arrival, detectives located 12 individually wrapped bags of a white powdery substance (16.5 grams) believed to be cocaine and 30 grams of a white powdery substance believed to be used as a “cutting agent.” Detective Harrington located a small, white chunky substance believe to be crack-cocaine (.5 grams). They also located a multitude of paraphernalia commonly used in packaging illegal narcotics. Plastic bags, razor blades and $635 in cash was also seized in the raid.
