Delta 8 -THC is the “regular” THC found in cannabis but is formulated differently. It has electrons in a different position than those in Delta 9 – THC allowing the product to interact with body receptors providing slightly different results.
You’ve heard about CBD and THC (Delta 9) – two of the cannabinoids in cannabis, but what the heck is Delta 8-THC?
Delta 8 -THC is the “regular” THC found in cannabis but is formulated differently. It has electrons in a different position than those in Delta 9 – THC allowing the product to interact with body receptors providing slightly different results. Delta–8–THC connects with the same primary landing sites as the traditional THC. This landing site is known as cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) and facilitates a wide variety of bodily functions.
In a nutshell, this means that you can get all the benefits of THC with far less of the psychotropic affect. This is a real plus for people who are taking therapeutic or recreational cannabis and who still want to remain clear-headed.

Delta 8-THC could provide the following benefits:
- Helps with nausea and vomiting
- Helps reduce stress related anxiety
- Stimulates appetite
- Relieves pain
- Protects brain from stress and inflammation
- Enhances memory
Other reasons to try Delta 8 – THC
Delta 8-THC is a good option for those who find regular THC does not treat their nausea and vomiting.
For some who are very sensitive to regular THC, this is a good choice.
It’s also a good option for those who want the body relaxation of THC but not the head high.
It’s a good option for people for whom CBD is not enough and they need a little THC (but not much) for symptom control.
For some individuals adding Delta 8 – THC to Delta 9 THC makes both work better together (entourage effect.)

More and more places are providing Delta 8-THC products. If you are a user of cannabis, you might want to look into them for symptom control or for recreational use without having the traditional THC head high.
