Biggest Fireworks Show in Fisher Cats History Coming July 4

Wednesday’s game will be highlighted by the biggest Fireworks show in Fisher Cats history, and “What Could Have Been” Day featuring the Granite State Mountain Men.

MANCHESTER, NH — The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) are set to host the Reading Fightin’ Phils (Philadelphia Phillies) in a five-game homestand from July 4-8, highlighted by the biggest Fireworks show in Fisher Cats history, and “What Could Have Been” Day featuring the Granite State Mountain Men.The Fisher Cats’ group of All-Stars has helped New Hampshire (47-34) hang on to first place in the Eastern League for the majority of the season, with five Granite State standouts heading to Trenton, N.J. for the Midsummer Classic on July 10.Bo Bichette, 20, continues to be a steady presence near the top of New Hampshire’s lineup and is one of the circuit’s most durable players. The #2 Blue Jays prospect appeared in 79 of 81 games for the ‘Cats to lead all Eastern League players, and is the top base thief with 26 stolen bags. His 61 runs scored are second in the league.Cavan Biggio, 23, has been the biggest surprise of the bunch. He leads the league with 16 home runs and 61 RBI and has been named the #19 Blue Jays prospect after starting the season outside of MLB.com’s Top 30.Jonathan Davis, 26, is in the midst of a breakout campaign and has earned his first all-star selection in six professional seasons. He leads the active roster with a .300 average and is the top run-scorer in the circuit with 64. His 22 doubles also pace the Eastern League.Jordan Romano, 25, shot off to an incredible start, winning eight consecutive decisions to cement himself on the league leaderboard. The #27 Blue Jays prospect keeps hitters guessing; opponents are batting .203 against him, the third-lowest among all pitchers in the league.T.J. Zeuch, 22, has shown why the Blue Jays took him as the 21st overall pick two years ago. The #9 Toronto farmhand has already earned Eastern League Pitcher of the Week honors for an eight-inning, two-hit shutout performance and most recently blanked Trenton on five hits over seven stanzas on July 1.Those five and the rest of the Fisher Cats are back in town for their final homestand before the All-Star Break.
