Best way to celebrate National Book Lovers Day? Read to a bunch of kids!

MANCHESTER, NH –  Several New Hampshire executives who also happen to be donors and ambassadors for Granite United Way helped celebrate National Book Lover’s Day  Aug. 9 by reading to children at the Granite United Way West Side Easter Seals location.

The national recognition encourages those who love to read to find their favorite reading place, a good book (whether it be fiction or non-fiction) and read the day away.

Granite United Way President and CEO Patrick Tufts was among those who participated in the day of reading.

“There is no better way to celebrate this national movement than to read to children,” said Patrick Tufts, President and CEO of Granite United Way. “It’s no secret to my staff that some of my favorite moments throughout our year are the opportunities I have to interact and read to children. Literacy is a cornerstone of our work and having the chance to read to children in our community is one of my greatest rewards.”
