Ayotte Public Safety Task Force appointments draw heavily on Manchester expertise
Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais will join a statewide public safety task force once Governor-elect Kelly Ayotte takes office.


CONCORD, N.H. — Mayor Jay Ruais will join a statewide public safety task force once Governor-elect Kelly Ayotte takes office. In addition, retiring Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg, State Rep. Stephen Pearson, R-Derry, a Lieutenant for Manchester Fire Department, and Attorney Mary Tenn made the short list.
Ayotte on Friday unveiled her transition team’s Public Safety Task Force to assess the needs and concerns of the State of New Hampshire relating to justice and public safety, including recruitment and retention of first responders, bail reform, and other relevant issues.
Governor-Elect Ayotte released the following statement announcing the task force:
“Keeping New Hampshire moving in the right direction starts with ensuring we remain the safest state in the nation, which is why I’m proud to announce today my Public Safety Task Force. This qualified and dedicated group of individuals will help identify key issues and priorities to further our justice and public safety goals, from recruiting and retaining the best first responders in the nation, to ending the revolving door bail system and getting dangerous criminals off our streets.”
The Governor-Elect has tapped the following individuals to serve on her Public Safety Task Force:

- Chief Probation and Parole Officer Seifu Ragassa, New Hampshire Department of Corrections
- State Representative Stephen Pearson, Lieutenant, Manchester Fire Department
- Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg
- Mary Tenn, Attorney, Tenn and Tenn, PA
