AmeriHealth Caritas NH hosts employment resource event at its Wellness and Opportunity Center

MANCHESTER, N.H. – AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire recently hosted an Employment Resource Event at its Wellness and Opportunity Center, located at 25 Sundial Ave in Manchester. This free event was open to the public and provided attendees with resources and tools to aid in finding work and overcome barriers to employment.

Those in attendance were able peruse the center’s Giving Closet, for free professional attire to take home and met with staff from New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation, New Hampshire SNAP Employment & Training Program, and Southern New Hampshire Services Workforce Innovation Opportunity.

Attendees were also able to practice their skills through mock job interviews and receive real-time feedback from AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire staff.

AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire’s Employment Resource Event is just the latest in events, classes and demonstrations offered at its Wellness and Opportunity Center. Opening last fall, the center helps members of all local communities overcome health barriers by providing greater access to healthcare and services that support more holistic, whole-person care. In addition to job placements services, the center also provides 1:1 financial counseling, financial literacy programs, food preparation demonstrations, a food pantry, access to computers and other programs offered by the plan and its community partners.
