After theft and assault, man hides out in MPD bathroom when victim chases him
A disturbance in the front parking lot of the Manchester Police Department prompted a robbery investigation which led to the arrest of a man who now faces a number of charges, from robbing a teen at the skate park to biting an officer.

Police located Vega, as he exited the public restroom in the lobby of police headquarters. They also located the stolen phone charger and knife inside of the public restroom.
The victim declined medical treatment on scene, but identified Vega as his attacker, who was taken into custody. Officers placed Vega into custody without incident. However, he became combative inside of the booking area and tried to flee the secured area once handcuffs were removed.
Vega engaged in a fight with officers and bit a police sergeant who was attempting to prevent him from escaping the facility. Vega continued to struggle after he bit the officer and was eventually subdued by a Taser. He was immediately placed in handcuffs and transported to Hillsborough County House of Correction.
He was charged with attempted escape, two counts falsifying physical evidence, robbery, simple assault and resisting arrest/detention. He will appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on July 25, 2018.
